Transformers<\/a> fans can now claim their very own Optimus Prime from the Energon Universe, and he’s packing plenty of extra heat.<\/p>\n

Popular model kit brand Blokees has opened pre-orders for the upcoming Transformers CC28 Energon Universe Optimus Prime Classic Class<\/a> model kit. Set to arrive in November at a retail price of $27.99, the officially licensed Transformers CC28 Energon Universe Optimus Prime Classic Class model kit from Blokees comes together to form the iconic Autobot leader, who just so happens to be wielding Megatron’s infamous arm cannon.<\/p>\n

The Transformers CC28 Energon Universe Optimus Prime Classic Class model kit stands at approximately 5.75 inches tall when fully assembled. Apart from Megatron’s arm cannon, the 123-piece model kit also includes Optimus Prime’s battle axe, as well as a Matrix that slots right into the main figure’s chest compartment.<\/p>\n

Skybound and Image Comics’ Energon Universe, which kicked off in 2023, consisted of numerous ongoing comic book series, including Transformers, G.I. Joe and Void Rivals. Largely helmed by industry icon Robert Kirkman, the wider Energon Universe has since come to include several other beloved franchises such as M.A.S.K. and The Micronauts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As such, the Energon Universe has been home to some truly epic storylines and confrontations over the past three years, with more than a few culminating in similarly unforgettable mash-ups. Among the most memorable of these was Starscream’s upper half being attached to one of G.I. Joe’s H.I.S.S. tanks<\/a> — an image so instantly iconic that it even received its own Blokees figure earlier this month.<\/p>\n

While there is no telling exactly what the future has in store for the Energon Universe<\/a>, fans can rest assured that the creators behind it have only the best and biggest of intentions for the franchise. “Our goal with the Energon Universe is to build something as sustainable as the core DC and Marvel Universe[s],” Kirkman stated back in August.<\/p>\n

“There’s just so many different things that we can do with these characters. There’s just so many different things that come out of the characters interacting and having this like cohesive universe that they’re existing in. There’s no limit.” Kirkman continued, “We want to make sure that the fan base, if they want to experience the entire universe, [that] it is simple to experience the entire universe and affordable to experience the entire universe for as long as possible. The Marvel Universe, back in the ’60s, grew at a very slow and steady pace, with them adding a book or two every year. That’s the way that you build a foundation that can last for a while.”<\/p>\n

During New York Comic Con, Skybound and Image Comics gave fans their first look at things to come in 2027 with the premiere of Skybound Visions<\/a>. The new line of standalone comic book stories begins with three titles, including Transformers: Bumblebee \u2013 Lost Planet and G.I. Joe: The Island of Dr. Mindbender, which will mark new chapters for Energon Universe mainstays, and Turok: Son of Stone, which will mark the classic Dinosaur Hunter’s Skybound debut.<\/p>\n
