We have news about former Montreal Canadiens forward Lukas Vejdemo, and unfortunately, it’s really not good news.<\/p>\n
As the headline states, this former Hab has become deaf in one ear after an extremely unlucky on-ice training accident.<\/p>\n
In fact, during an on-ice session, Vejdemo was struck in the ear by a puck. He left practice, and there were questions about how serious it was..<\/p>\n

“The puck hit badly on the ear and it rang quite well. It happens so fast that you don’t have time to react. I felt directly that it was not good at all.”<\/p>\n
“I hear nothing at all on one ear. Sometimes it heals by itself, other times an operation is required. As I understand it, it’s nothing you need to do directly, but you can wait with the operation.” – Lukas Vejdemo<\/p>\n
Lukas Vejdemo, now 29 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 198-pound left-shot center who was indeed a third-round pick of the Canadiens in 2015 (87th overall).<\/p>\n
He recorded 2 points (2 goals) in 13 career NHL games, all with Montreal.<\/p>\n
Vejdemo also collected 16 points in 34 games in his last season with the Laval Rocket in 2021-22.<\/p>\n
