The organisation also says its legal team is pressing Navigate360 for more information and that it will share updates as they become available.

That statement does not establish a reopening date. For Brampton and Mississauga residents, the immediate service change is the suspension itself; a previously saved number, webpage or promotional message should not be treated as a current restart announcement.

Direct police reporting is a different route

In its October 22 statement, Peel police describe Crime Stoppers as an independent organisation. Police say the affected vendor platform is separate from their systems and infrastructure.

The force says it has requested information from Navigate360 to assess potential risks and will not resume participation until satisfied the platform is secure. That is a condition for resuming participation, rather than an announcement that the incident has been resolved.

Police encourage people with information about a crime or public-safety concern to use their existing direct reporting channels. They explicitly caution that this does not provide the anonymity associated with Crime Stoppers, even though information goes directly to investigators.

The force’s contact page lists 911 for emergencies and 905-453-3311 for non-emergency calls.
