Anime debuts in 2027 with original story, characters<\/p>\n
Toei Animation<\/a> announced on Tuesday that the Precure<\/a> franchise<\/a> will receive a television anime spinoff titled Dual Shadow ~Precure Villain Heroines~<\/a> that will premiere next year. Unlike most of the previous spinoffs in the franchise, the new anime will feature an original story and characters.<\/p>\n \n Since the villain character Higashi Setsuna\/Eas in 2009’s Fresh Precure!<\/a> became the hero Cure Passion, the Precure franchise has had a tradition of villains turning into heroes.<\/p>\n The Star Detective Precure!<\/a> anime, the 23rd and latest main television anime in the franchise, debuted<\/a> on February 1, and is ongoing. Crunchyroll<\/a> is streaming<\/a> the anime in North America, Central America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and CIS.<\/p>\n Eiga Meitantei Precure! Fushigi na Niwa to Futari no Himitsu<\/a> (Star Detective Precure! The Movie: The Mysterious Garden and the Secret of 2 People) \u2014 the film<\/a> for Star Detective Precure! \u2014 opened in Japan on September 18, and ranked<\/a> at #3 in its opening weekend. The film sold 358,000 tickets to earn 446 million yen (about US$2.82 million) in its first three days.<\/p>\n Toei Animation recently produced<\/a>\u00a0two\u00a020th anniversary projects for the franchise. The\u00a0Power of Hope: Precure Full Bloom<\/a> television anime debuted in October 2023, and was a sequel to\u00a0Yes!
