The first elimination game of the 2026 WNBA Finals<\/a> is on deck.<\/p>\n

The Golden State Valkyries<\/a> have a chance to close out the Finals and secure the franchise’s first championship<\/a> in Game 6 against the Atlanta Dream<\/a> Thursday.<\/p>\n

And there’s a chance Valkyries fans will be celebrating a championship victory at around noon PT on a weekday. That’s because the Game 6 tipoff time was moved up so it could be played at State Farm Arena<\/a>, home of the NBA<\/a>‘s Atlanta Hawks<\/a>. Games 3 and 4 were also played at State Farm Arena, which holds around 14,000 more fans than the Dream’s normal home venue, Gateway Center Arena in College Park. But the Hawks have a game Thursday night that couldn’t be rescheduled.<\/p>\n

The Valkyries have the Dream on the ropes after winning two straight games, turning a 2-1 series deficit into a 3-2 advantage. Golden State forced Atlanta into a combined 32 turnovers across Games 4<\/a> and 5<\/a>, while Kiah Stokes<\/a> and Co. limited Angel Reese<\/a> to 15 total points in those contests.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Valkyries beat the Dream 64-55 in Game 5 to take a 3-2 series lead and move one win away from their first WNBA championship.\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

In a matchup between two of the WNBA’s top defenses, points have been hard to come by. Atlanta is shooting<\/a> 36% from the field and 24.8% from 3-point range for the series, while Golden State is at 35.2% from the field and 26.5% from deep.<\/p>\n

So, will the Dream rebound and extend the series to a decisive Game 7? Or will the Valkyries go from expansion franchise to champions in just two seasons? Here’s how to watch Game 6 of the WNBA Finals:<\/p>\n
