\n\tHayden Panettiere<\/a>\u2018s death has been ruled as accidental and the investigation has concluded, the Greenville, South Carolina police department announced Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBased on the (coroner\u2019s office\u2019s) determination and the findings of the investigation, Hayden Panettiere\u2019s death has been ruled accidental. The Greenville Police Department has concluded its investigation,\u201d the police department told media outlets<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cHeroes\u201d actress died Aug. 16 and a toxicology investigation concluded in September that the cause of death was the toxic effects of fentanyl, Xanax and other drugs.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe cause of death has been ruled as toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, Alprazolam, Methocarbamol and Quetiapine,\u201d the coroner\u2019s official statement said in September, adding that there were \u201cno signs of trauma\u201d that would have contributed to death. <\/p>\n

\n\tEmergency services responded around 1:51 p.m. on Aug. 16 to a report of an \u201cunresponsive female,\u201d a police spokesperson said. \u201cUpon arrival, medical assistance was administered; however, the individual, later identified as Hayden Panettiere, was pronounced deceased at the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPanettiere\u2019s boyfriend Brian Hickerson and his brother Zach were present at the scene of her death at a rented loft, and Brian Hickerson spoke with investigators about who may have sold her the drugs. <\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, both the coroner and the police have now concluded the overdose was accidental. <\/p>\n

\n\tHer father, Skip Panettiere, announced her death with the statement, \u201cIt is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden.
