Police have seized multiple handguns and laid charges against two men from Brampton following an early-morning shooting earlier this week.

The Toronto Police Service says officers were called to Jane Street and Lawrence Avenue West around 1:45 a.m. on Wednesday after receiving a report about gunshots in the area.

No injuries were reported, but an investigation led police to four suspects who were found to be in possession of loaded firearms.

Toronto police say Jhaylin Murray, 21, and Jeshiah White, 19, both of Brampton, Derrek Hunter, 24, of Hamilton, and Jahsiaha Banton-Allen, 24, of Toronto, have all been arrested and charged with several offences, including multiple counts each of possession of a loaded firearm.

Police say all four of the accused were scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Wednesday to answer to the charges. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-1200.
