Manufacturing is one of the sectors most exposed to US tariffs.

– The construction sector grew 0.2% while mining, quarrying and oil and gas extraction was flat in the month.

– Money markets are pricing in expectations that the Bank of Canada will leave its key interest rate unchanged in December but raise it by 25 basis points in January to 2.75%. The Canadian central bank hiked that rate by 25 basis points 2.50% on Wednesday.

– The Canadian dollar was trading up 0.26% to C$1.3951 to the US. dollar, or 71.68 US cents.
