The Dream blew open the WNBA Finals on Thursday, routing the Golden State Valkyries 80-69 in Atlanta to force a winner-take-all Game 7 on Saturday in the Bay Area, reports the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/athletic\/7736219\/2026\/10\/29\/atlanta-dream-first-wnba-finals-game-7-valkyries\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Athletic<\/a>. Atlanta led by 20 at halftime and by as many as 25 at one point, torching Golden State&#8217;s usually tough defense with 70%-plus shooting in the first quarter and a 13-of-30 mark from deep during the game as a whole. Allisha Gray paced the Dream with 23 points, while Rhyne Howard added 21, shooting at 54% from the field.&#13;\n                                    <\/p>\n<p class=\"storyParagraph\">&#13;<br \/>\n                                        Meanwhile, defensive player of the year Angel Reese delivered 15 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, and two 3-pointers\u2014pushing Atlanta to a 16-0 win stat when she hits at least once from long range. &#8220;As long as we came out with the win, I just wanted to do whatever it took,&#8221; Reese said, per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newser.com\/article\/3e462d20f9f766f0d33b6d757dd001b2\/angel-reese-responded-from-two-poor-performances-to-help-atlanta-force-a-game-7-in-the-wnba-finals.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AP<\/a>. &#8220;It&#8217;s Game 6\u2014win or go home,&#8221; Gray told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/wnba\/story\/_\/id\/50320645\/allisha-gray-dream-beat-valkyries-force-game-7-wnba-finals\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ESPN<\/a>. &#8220;I didn&#8217;t want to go home.&#8221; The series, the first best-of-seven WNBA Finals to reach a Game 7, will give one of these franchises its first title in the league&#8217;s 30th season, per the Athletic.
