The former staffer worked at Disney World<\/a> from 2017 up until this last year.<\/p>\n The ex-employee worked at the Florida theme park for eight years. Getty Images for Disney Dreamers Academy<\/p>\n Throughout their eight years there, he wore several different hats working \u201ca few different roles, mainly in attractions,\u201d before working his way up to a \u201ccoordinator\u201d position which is just \u201cjust below management,\u201d the ex-employee told the Daily Mail <\/a>in an interview.<\/p>\n For privacy reasons, the staffer wished to remain anonymous and be referred to as the pseudonym Michael, according to the outlet.<\/p>\n \u2018There is a lot of great aspects of working at Disney World, but the pay with the cost of living in Central Florida is rough, and the heat on top of a physically and emotionally demanding job can be a bit much,\u201d Michael said in the interview.<\/p>\n The former staffer said how brutal it can be working outside in the heat at the parks all day. AP<\/p>\n Aside from working in the brutal Florida heat, Disney supposedly has some tight rules in place.<\/p>\n Of course, every place of work has its rules employees have to follow \u2014 but reportedly, some of Disney\u2019s include everything from not being allowed to take pictures backstage or wear smartwatches.<\/p>\n \u201cAny device could be a distraction from vehicle motion and could get you fired if you\u2019re caught wearing one,\u201d Michael told the outlet.<\/p>\n With the wildly high number of Disney visitors on any given day \u2014 workers have to prioritize guests\u2019 safety, but this former worker believes upper management takes things a little too far when it comes to this, neglecting the safety of staffers.<\/p>\n \u201cDisney is overly safe and very efficient at sending the most amount of guests through a ride possible,\u201d the ex-Disney worker said in the interview.<\/p>\n As a result, \u201cThere are some managers who don\u2019t care about cast [members].\u00a0Some really only care about the Safety and Efficiency scores, and overlook cast [members\u2019] well-being in certain situations,\u201d the former employee alleged.<\/p>\n Supposedly, the workers had to follow strict guidelines when working at the beloved theme park. russell102 \u2013 stock.adobe.com<\/p>\n And since employees have to always be looking out for the park\u2019s guests \u2014 Michael has advice for those cranky guests who want to take out their frustrations on the employees:<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you\u2019re at the parks, just listen to them when they tell you what to do even if it sounds silly, they don\u2019t get paid enough to make the rules, just be nice,\u201d they said in the interview.<\/p>\n While some Disney employees don\u2019t think they get paid enough for what they put up with \u2014 some visitors are complaining about how much a day at the Florida park costs.<\/p>\n![\"The](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/bd647fdb951ebca679771f28d0b4d4fc.jpeg\"\/)
