Back in July, Megabite Pizza<\/a> closed the doors to one of its most iconic locations in Vancouver on Granville, leaving many naturally upset.<\/p>\n

\u201cDear Vancouver, thank you for every slice, every laugh, and every late night. Whether you found us at lunch or at 2 a.m., you kept showing up \u2014 and we can\u2019t tell you how much that means to us. It has been an honour to be your go-to spot on the strip for over 15 years,\u201d wrote Megabite on its website.<\/p>\n

This location had been a popular spot for many in the area looking for a quick bite after a late night on the town.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pizza that raised and fed us all through our teens\/twenties\ud83d\ude4f\ud83c\udffd\ud83d\ude2d\ud83c\udf55 pouring a little ranch out for you Megabite,\u201d shared one person when Dished shared the news of the closure on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf this isn\u2019t the sign of end times, I don\u2019t know what is,\u201d wrote a second person.<\/p>\n

\u201cRIP to mac and cheese pizza slices after The Roxy \ud83d\ude14,\u201d added a third.<\/p>\n

However, a new pizza shop called Local Pizza has opened on the corner, hoping to fill the void Megabite has left.<\/p>\n

\u201cGRANVILLE STREET JUST GOT TASTIER. \ud83c\udf55\ud83d\udd25We\u2019re bringing the LOCAL love to the heart of downtown Vancouver! Our doors are officially open. Your next favourite slice is waiting,\u201d wrote the pizza chain on its Instagram.<\/p>\n

Local Pizza currently operates 14 additional locations throughout B.C., including locations in Victoria, Nanaimo, Campbell River, Comox, Courtenay, and Duncan. On its website<\/a>, it also has a Fraser Street location listed as \u201copening soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the menu, you can find a selection of classic pies in addition to offerings like Butter Chicken, Mexican Chicken Taco, and more.<\/p>\n

The chain also offers a selection of plant-based pizzas and sides like baked penne pasta, chicken wings, cheesy bread, chocolate molten lava cake, and more. But don\u2019t worry, pizzas can be ordered by the slice.<\/p>\n

Local Pizza Granville is currently open daily from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.<\/p>\n
