The 37-year-old Brazilian has been in the UFC since 2014 and has fought 21 times in the promotion, producing a 13-8 record and earning a ranking at both featherweight and lightweight.<\/p>\n
Moicano said that since Father Time will catch up to him sooner than later, he’d rather walk away from MMA on his own terms.<\/p>\n
“I don’t want to be like Tony Ferguson,” Moicano said. “Eight fights, trying to be a champion. Forty years old, trying to fight, six-fight losing streak – I don’t want to do that. I’m happy. And sometimes, you have to realize when you’re done. You have to realize how much gas tank you have, how much love of the sport you have. And for me, it’s these three more fights.”<\/p>\n
