Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has revealed why his long-standing friendship with Sara Ali Khan fell apart. The 27-year-old claimed that he supported the actor during a difficult period but felt abandoned when he needed her, adding that he would not consider repairing their relationship without an apology.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi on Double Date, Orry<\/a> also discussed his strained equation with Sara\u2019s mother, Amrita Singh, and how his experience on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 made him reassess several friendships.<\/p>\n His remarks follow months of unfollows, deleted posts and pointed exchanges involving Sara and her family.<\/p>\n When asked to name the most famous person he had blocked, unfollowed or muted, Orry named Sara and Amrita. He said he and Sara had been friends since childhood, remained close through college and continued their friendship for another decade.<\/p>\n Orry claimed that he had stood by Sara during a particularly difficult period. Recalling a time they spent in Goa, he said, \u201cWe were childhood friends. We were friends through college and for 10 years after college. I was there for her through so much. We were in Goa when Sara was going through a very big case, and I was with her throughout it. I never left her side.\u201d<\/p>\n He alleged that Sara did not offer the same support when he faced a difficult phase. According to Orry, she did not call him even once to ask how he was doing.<\/p>\n \u201cFor once in my life, when she had to be there, she disappeared. During such a difficult phase, she did not call even once to check in,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cWhen you were going through hell and everyone was telling me to leave you, I stood by your side. I took care of your mother and your brother. I stood by all of you. When the tables turned, you had to be there for me just once, and you could not even make a phone call.\u201d<\/p>\n Fallout with Amrita Singh<\/p>\n Orry also claimed that Amrita had once scolded him and spoken about him to others. He said the incident further damaged his relationship with the family and eventually led him to unfollow her.<\/p>\n He said he could not pretend to remain friends with Sara while leaving the incident unaddressed. \u201cIf I pretend to be friends with her now, that means she is fine with whatever her mother did to me and whatever she said about me to everyone else. I never received an apology. I cannot remain friends with her,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Khatron Ke Khiladi changed his view of friends<\/p>\n Orry, who is a participant on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, said the competition had also changed how he viewed several people he had considered close friends. He was disappointed that they did not publicly support him<\/a> during what he described as a mentally and physically demanding experience.<\/p>\n He said these friends did not share a social media story or even like a post about his participation. According to Orry, the show had changed how people perceived him, making their lack of encouragement more hurtful. Summing up his disappointment, he said, \u201cThey turned out to be snakes.\u201d<\/p>\n A friendship played out on social media<\/p>\n The fallout became public in January 2026 after Orry posted an Instagram Reel referring to \u201cSara\u201d, \u201cAmrita\u201d and \u201cPalak\u201d as the \u201cthree worst names\u201d. Many social media users interpreted the names as references to Sara, Amrita and Palak Tiwari. The post was later deleted.<\/p>\n Sara and her brother, Ibrahim Ali Khan, subsequently unfollowed Orry on Instagram. Orry claimed that he had unfollowed them long before and that they had only done so later.<\/p>\n Another exchange attracted attention when a user asked Orry what the bra on his outfit was holding together. He responded with a remark about Sara\u2019s film hits, which many users read as a dig at the actor and her career. Sara has largely avoided discussing the dispute publicly, and there has been no public reconciliation between them.<\/p>\n
