Visitors will be able to see how international conflicts affected people living in Peel and learn more about the experiences of those whose stories have been preserved in the archives.

PAMA says the event will be led by archivists, who will help visitors explore the historical material and better understand the sacrifices made by members of the community.

The Archives Reading Room is located at 9 Wellington St. East in downtown Brampton. Admission to the archives is free, while access to PAMA’s Museum and Art Gallery is available with paid admission.

The two sessions offer different opportunities for people with varying schedules to take part. The November 5 session runs from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., while the November 7 event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both are drop-in events, and visitors do not have to pay admission to access the archives.

Remembrance Day is observed annually on November 11 to honour Canadians who served and those who died in military conflicts. PAMA’s program offers an opportunity to reflect on that history through the experiences of people who lived in Peel, bringing a local perspective to events that shaped Canada and the world.

More information about the events is available through PAMA’s website.
