Amid uncertainty about Lamar Jackson’s status for the remainder of the 2026 season, the Baltimore Ravens are seeking help at quarterback prior to the trade deadline as they try to stay in the AFC playoff race.<\/p>\n
Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler<\/a>, some of the options the Ravens are looking at include Daniel Jones and Tyson Bagent. <\/p>\n In the same report, Dan Graziano noted the Ravens will “work to solve the problem” with Jackson out for the time being and are “open to a number of ideas” at the quarterback spot with Jacoby Brissett cited as someone they could “look into” acquiring. <\/p>\n Jackson returned on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills after missing three games then injured his thumb on his first pass attempt. <\/p>\n Ravens head coach Jesse Minter told reporters<\/a> after the 36-10 loss to Buffalo that Jackson would undergo surgery and be placed on injured reserve. <\/p>\n Bagent immediately stood out as a potential trade option for Baltimore because Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle came from the Chicago Bears where the two worked together last season. <\/p>\n The Bears may not be eager to trade Bagent since Caleb Williams has already missed time this season, though they did get one quality start from Case Keenum during Williams’ absence that might make head coach Ben Johnson comfortable if he had to step in. <\/p>\n Few teams are harder to figure out right now than the Colts, even though they have acknowledged their need to sell by trading away Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner. <\/p>\n The Colts are reportedly<\/a> open to trading Jonathan Taylor, but they still played him 38 offensive snaps and risked a potential injury in Sunday’s 42-7 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. <\/p>\n Jones’ availability might be even harder to figure out because head coach Shane Steichen told reporters<\/a> on Monday he will remain the starting quarterback. <\/p>\n Of the potential quarterback options mentioned by Fowler and Graziano, Brissett might be the most available. He was benched by the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday in favor of Gardner Minshew II, who led the offense to 23 points in the fourth quarter and overtime in a 33-30 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. <\/p>\n
