LAWRENCE, Kansas — The UNI women’s golf team officially opened its 2025 Fall season this week at the Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, finishing eighth out of ten teams at the Jayhawk Club, with four Panthers earning top-50 individual finishes on Monday afternoon. ULM claimed the team title with a score of 879 (+15), while Kansas’ own Amy Denkock secured the individual title with a 219 (+3).\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Freshman Jane Petersen<\/a> led the way for Northern Iowa in a three-way tie for 19th place, shooting a 230 (+14) and carding her best round score with a 74 (+2 ) in round two. Petersen sank six birdies, including 4 in round three, and 16 bogeys over the two-day tournament. Junior Addison Berg<\/a> finished in a tie for 22nd place with a total score of 232 (+16), shooting consistently in all three rounds with scores of 78-76-78. Berg collected five birdies and 10 bogeys.\u00a0<\/p>\n Mckenna Mallow finished in 47th place, shooting 250 (+34), finishing strong with her best round score coming in the third round with an 81. Mallow totaled three birdies with two coming in round three and 20 bogeys over the two days. Hannah Graves<\/a> finished right behind Berg in 48th place with a score of 252 (+36), shooting a best round score of 79 (+7) in round two.\u00a0<\/p>\n Greenlee Smock<\/a> placed in a tie for 51st place, shooting a score of 256 (+40), shooting an 87 (+15) in both rounds one and three. Smock carded three birdies and 23 bogeys to start her Sophomore season.
