It can be hard for NFL players to transition into the “real world” after their football careers end.<\/p>\n

But one former quarterback is taking his best shot at it.<\/p>\n

Jake Fromm is now a client advisor at an insurance brokerage in the Atlanta area.<\/p>\n

Fromm was a collegiate standout at the University of Georgia.<\/p>\n

The Buffalo Bills drafted him in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

He bounced between the active roster and the practice squad in Buffalo for most of his first two seasons.<\/p>\n

In December 2021, the New York Giants claimed Fromm off the Bills’ practice squad. Fromm’s only NFL appearance in the regular season came that month for the Giants.<\/p>\n

By October 2022, the Washington Commanders had added Fromm to their practice squad.<\/p>\n

He bounced up and down in Washington through the end of the 2023 season.<\/p>\n

In May 2024, Washington released Fromm and he signed with the Lions.<\/p>\n

Fromm spent the 2024 season on Detroit’s practice squad.<\/p>\n

The Lions released Fromm on April 23 of this year, and he’s now a free agent.<\/p>\n

Fromm, who is 27 years old, hasn’t announced a retirement or anything. He would likely welcome another NFL opportunity if it came.<\/p>\n

But for now, he’s working on the next steps of his life, which is a quality way to approach things.<\/p>\n
