Christian rock band Switchfoot came out to perform their hit song “Meant to Live” with the brothers, and stayed onstage to sing the Jonas Brothers’ song “Hold On” (which Joe revealed was actually inspired by “Meant to Live”).

This isn’t the first time these two bands worked together, as the Jonas Brothers previously recorded a cover of Switchfoot’s “The Beautiful Letdown,” and Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman co-wrote the Jonas Brothers’ recent title track “Greetings From Your Hometown.”

Jesse McCartney

Kevin Mazur/Getty

Jesse McCartney performing with the Jonas Brothers

The tour’s opening night in New Jersey continued with a full circle reunion when Jesse McCartney performed “Beautiful Soul” with the Jonas Brothers.
