Patrick Cantlay has just missed out on winning at the Tour Championship, with Tommy Fleetwood<\/a> claiming victory with an incredible performance on the final day.<\/p>\n

Cantlay<\/a> and Fleetwood were tied for the lead heading into the final day, with the Englishman eventually securing victory with an impressive performance on the back nine \u2013 despite a late charge from Scottie Scheffler. Fleetwood secured his first career win on U.S. soil, as fans endured an unexpected broadcast change<\/a> during the viewing.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Cantlay just missed out on his 10th career championship, and the $10 million prize money that Fleetwood bagged. The 33-year-old American still added a nice sum to his already sizable net worth, pocketing $5M \u2013 the biggest payday of his career \u2013 as the runner-up. Meanwhile, Fleetwood’s wife was not present to witness his PGA Tour breakthrough after rumors that their 23-year age gap has left her “paranoid.”<\/a><\/p>\n

The Californian has been supported by his wife, Nikki Guidish, who was a model before graduating with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree.<\/p>\n

Cantlay’s impressive showing puts him in great stead to make the U.S. Ryder Cup team now, with captain Keegan Bradley set to decide the shape of the roster this upcoming week.<\/p>\n
