\u201cI wept,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI wept because here was my mother\u2014this woman who had suffered so much to raise me\u2014and I had abandoned her because of the love I had for this man. I had turned my back on her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI called him and reminded him of his promise to take care of my family. That was when he finally started sending money\u2014GH\u00a21,000 a month for my mum\u2019s upkeep. But by then, the damage was already done. My soul was bleeding.\u201d<\/p>\n
Despite enduring humiliation and online criticism, Afrah said she remained in the toxic relationship, obeying every instruction from the man\u2014even when it meant insulting her husband abroad.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhatever he told me, I did. That\u2019s how blind I was.\u201d<\/p>\n
But over time, she realized the love was draining her emotionally and spiritually. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe was hurting my soul. People on social media could see things weren\u2019t working, but I kept hoping it would change,\u201d she recounted.<\/p>\n
Eventually, she summoned the courage to walk away. \u201cI realized it wasn\u2019t worth it. One day, I sent him a voice note and told him it\u2019s over. That was it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Her voice steadied as she reflected on the experience. <\/p>\n
\u201cI made a big mistake. But I have learned. I won\u2019t repeat it again.\u201d<\/p>\n
