<\/p>\n Email Link<\/p>\n \n Devon Walker has announced his departure from \u201cSaturday Night Live.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n The comic, who had appeared on the show for three seasons, posted a series of photos on Instagram with the news. <\/a>\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cTo me, jobs in this industry feel like a bunch of little marriages. Some of em last for a long time if we\u2019re lucky, but most of them are fleeting. Permanent until they\u2019re not,\u201d Walker wrote. \u201cThat\u2019s the deal. You know what it is it when you sign up.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n He added: \u201cMe and the show did three years together, and sometimes it was really cool.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cSometimes it was toxic as hell,\u201d Walker continued. \u201cBut we did what we made the most of what it was, even amidst all of the dysfunction. We made a f***ed up lil family.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n He thanked friends and fellow \u201cSNL\u201d writers Alex English and Gary Richardson, with whom he ran the DAD comedy show at New York\u2019s Jane Hotel, noting that the three of them \u201creally went from running a bar show to working together at 30 Rock!\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cAnyway, I\u2019m bout to go to Japan,\u201d Walker concluded his note. \u201cWhen I get back I\u2019m tryna be in a prestige drama. Ideally something with Julianne Moore. Hope y\u2019all staying hydrated and getting some money today.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cJust to be clear, this is good news!\u201d he wrote in a subsequent Instagram story<\/a>.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cIt was just time for me to do something different. Please don\u2019t be hitting me with the \u2018I\u2019m so sorry\u2019 \u2014 we not on that at ALL,\u201d he wrote. \u201cSometimes mom and dad just don\u2019t see things eye to eye.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n CNN has reached out to representatives for \u201cSNL\u201d for comment.\n <\/p>\n
