{"id":99670,"date":"2025-08-27T01:31:07","date_gmt":"2025-08-27T01:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/99670\/"},"modified":"2025-08-27T01:31:07","modified_gmt":"2025-08-27T01:31:07","slug":"tottenham-shoot-up-supercomputer-predicted-premier-league-table-after-man-city-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/99670\/","title":{"rendered":"Tottenham shoot up supercomputer predicted Premier League table after Man City win"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Two weeks can be a long time in football, and that is borne out by the predictions of Tottenham\u2019s Opta Super Computer, which sees Spurs shoot up the Premier League table.<\/p>\n<p>Coming into the season, not many neutrals and pundits considered <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/club-info\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> as favourites to finish in the top six.<\/p>\n<p>That is understandable given that the Lilywhites finished 17th last season with 22 league defeats and that a new manager had walked through the door.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, just before the start of the new season, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/spurs-news\/supercomputer-predicts-concerning-premier-league-finish-for-tottenham-under-thomas-frank\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Opta\u2019s Supercomputer predicted that Spurs would finish in 14th place<\/a>, collecting an estimated 47.92 points.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/premier-league-1a-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"Premier League Trophy Tottenham\" class=\"wp-image-353375\" \/>Tottenham shoot up the predicted Premier League table<\/p>\n<p>However, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/spurs-news\/who-is-thomas-frank-meet-tottenham-hotspur-new-head-coach\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas Frank<\/a> era started positively for the Lilywhites with a 3-0 win over Burnley at home, and after that result, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/spurs-news\/supercomputer-changes-mind-on-tottenham-prediction-after-just-one-premier-league-game\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Opta predicted that Spurs would finish 11th with \u00a050.08 points<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Tottenham have followed that up with a statement performance against Manchester City, emerging deserved 2-0 winners.<\/p>\n<p>While winning at the Etihad Stadium is not a new feeling for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/tag\/tottenham\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Spurs<\/a>, the amount of defensive control they exhibited left many impressed, with the away side managing to keep Pep Guardiola\u2019s men at arm\u2019s length for the majority of the encounter.<\/p>\n<p>That performance has seen <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/theanalyst.com\/competition\/premier-league\/table\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Opta once again revise their predictions<\/a>, with the SuperComputer now predicting that Tottenham will finish 8th with 55.48 points.<\/p>\n<p>A crucial week of transfers is coming for Spurs <\/p>\n<p>While there have been some very encouraging signs at the start of the season, there are question marks over the strength of Tottenham\u2019s squad.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/spurs-news\/thomas-frank-wants-to-do-something-he-says-tottenham-havent-achieved-since-2019\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Thomas Frank has set his eyes on challenging on all four fronts<\/a>, but in order to do that, the club need at least two top-class signings to arrive through the door.<\/p>\n<p>Reports indicate that <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.spurs-web.com\/spurs-news\/tottenham-set-two-transfer-priorities-but-piero-hincapie-is-not-one-of-them\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Spurs are still trying to sign a number 10, a winger and a centre-back<\/a>, but with just over five days left, that looks like a hard ask.<\/p>\n<p>       Have something to tell us about this article?
