On Wednesday evening, Chanel took over new New York hot spot Chateau Royale for an intimate dinner in celebration of their newly launched Première Galon watch. Joining in were Sarah Pidgeon, Riley Keough, Tessa Thompson, Lucy Boynton, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Justine Skye, Paloma Elsesser, Devon Lee Carlson, Athena Calderone, Beverly Nguyen, Chloe Wise, Coco Baudelle, Kate Young and more.

The night began with Champagne and mingling on the restaurant’s lower level, as guests posed for photos in their Chanel ensembles.

Keough, a Chanel ambassador, has been busy this fall promoting the new Noah Baumbach film “Jay Kelly,” in which she stars alongside George Clooney, Adam Sandler, Laura Dern and Billy Crudup.

“It’s been really nice. I’m doing a really wonderful amount of press — it’s not exhausting and I get to jump in for the fun parts, to watch the film and go to the premieres,” she said of the schedule. “I just felt so lucky to be there on all of my shooting days, to get to work with Noah. To get to act the scenes that he wrote and [say] the dialogue was so beautiful, I just feel very grateful.”

Her earliest memory of wearing a watch? “It would be a Swatch watch. That was definitely my very first watch memory,” she said, seated on a red banquette next to her publicist. “I think I got one in the New York store, I would’ve been like 9 [years old].”

“I would play with my mom’s [watch]. She would take it off while she would wash her face and it would sit on this little dish in the bathroom,” Pidgeon said. “You feel quite sophisticated with a watch on your wrist. I recently got a watch that my dad would wear all the time, so I’ve been fiddling with that at home. It’s way too big for my wrist.”

The actress is currently bright blonde for her role as Carolyn Bessette in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming “American Love Story.”

“I’m still getting used to it. But I think i’m going to keep it for a little bit,” she said of the hair. “I’ve been so busy that I feel like I haven’t really been able to experiment with the ‘blondes having more fun’ thing. But I do still get a bit shocked when I see myself.”

The cast has been snapped by paparazzi throughout filming in New York, as anticipation for the final product grows. Pidgeon herself has yet to see any of the footage.

“We’re coming to the end and it’s been so much hard work and I think everyone is looking forward to having time again, but I’m going to miss it so much. It’s been really challenging and so fulfilling and it’s really impacted me in so many ways,” she said. “Having such a fast-paced schedule and something new every day and learning more and more about these people as it goes on, it’s been really wonderful embodying her.”

Around 8 p.m., the crowd relocated to the restaurant’s upper level, where a French dinner of escargot, green salad, flank steak and gnocchi parisienne was served.
