Tech aficionados have a fresh contender for their wrists, as a smartwatch designed to mimic a traditional timepiece is earning high praise from experts. Merging classic watch aesthetics with modern features, it’s a stylish alternative for anyone looking for a smartwatch that doesn’t look like one.
The HUAWEI Watch Ultimate 2 Beyond Adventure is now available on its website in both blue and black variants. This next-generation smartwatch is said to combine robust materials with cutting-edge technology, along with features suitable for both everyday use and extreme environments.
Constructed with a zirconium-based liquid metal case, a dual-colour nanocrystal ceramic bezel and sapphire glass, the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate 2 Beyond Adventure boasts water resistance up to 150 metres, making it also apt for deep sea diving and other aquatic activities.
A standout feature is its underwater sonar-based communication. Divers can transmit pre-set messages and emoticons to other watches within 30 minutes, while an underwater SOS function covers up to 60 metres, adding an additional safety measure.
The HUAWEI Watch also supports music playback and calls whilst submerged. On land, the gap antenna system and Sunflower Positioning System ensure swift and stable connectivity, with dual band five system positioning providing precise navigation even in challenging outdoor conditions, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Equipped with an eSIM, the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate 2 Beyond Adventure, allows for independent calls and features AI-powered noise cancellation for clear conversations. The watch also boasts advanced health monitoring through the TruSense system, tracking up to 11 health metrics including heart rate, sleep patterns and fingertip Sp02.
Battery saver mode offers up to 11 days of use, while standard mode last 4.5 days. Additional safety features such as fall detection, emergency SOS, and high altitude monitoring are included for adventurous users.
Alternatively, shoppers could consider the Google Pixel Watch 4 41mm Smart Watch, available for £349 from Argos. This watch offers 32GB memory, Bluetooth 6 connection and touchscreen capabilities, along with health and fitness features to track exercise, steps and sleep.
Another option is the APPLE Watch Series 11, priced at £369 from Currys. Available in black, gold, grey and silver, this watch has a battery life of up to 24 hours, is water-resistant and swim proof, and can track sports, steps, distance, calories and sleep.

Tech fanatics and YouTubers are reviewing the HUAWEI Watch Ultimate 2 Beyond Adventure as expert TechMagnet said: “Really premium, great materials with this smart watch. This is what really attracts me to it as I love classic mechanical watches and this resembles it.
“It is not cheap but when comparing with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and how much that costs and factor in the build quality, I think still this watch is an extremely great deal. I cycle a lot, I like mechanical watches, I don’t want to charge my watch everyday and this smart watch is just the perfect choice.”
