Watching The 2 Johnnies Late Night Lock In (RTÉ Two, Thursday, October 23), I was reminded of a quip by the endlessly wise and witty Dolly Parton: “You’d be surprised how much it costs to look this cheap!”
So, exactly what does the rhinestone-studded queen of country music have to do with Johnny McMahon (“Johnny Smacks”) and Johnny O’Brien (“Johnny B”)? Be patient and we’ll get to that shortly.
