M&S is a go-to for cosy winter knitwear, but I might have a new favouriteThis article contains affiliate links, we will receive a commission on any sales we generate from it. Learn moreAntonia V-Neck Merino Wool CardiganI love how versatile this cardigan is(Image: All Saints)

When autumn rolls around, you can usually find me pacing the racks at M&S looking for the perfect piece of knitwear for the new season. While I love M&S’s quality and price point, I’ve been pleasantly surprised by another retailer that is offering a cardigan that promises to be my new favourite.

Over at All Saints, the Antonia V-Neck Merino Wool Cardigan caught my attention. Made from 100% merino wool, it’s luxuriously soft and looks incredibly expensive, but it is now heavily reduced in All Saints’ big sale across sizes XS to L.

The black Antonia V-Neck Merino Wool Cardigan is a timeless piece that’s perfect for layering, and I love to wear it with a classic blue jean or with a sleek black satin skirt for evening wear. It has a flattering V-neckline and understated buttons, and I love how it hangs off my shoulders for a relaxed but polished fit.

But it’s not just the Antonia V-Neck Merino Wool Cardigan that’s discounted at All Saints – the brand has a 20% discount across all sale pieces at the moment, so there’s lots more to explore. From t-shirts to maxi dresses, and blouses to statement trench coats, I’ll be back for more winter staples and maybe even some Christmas presents.

Those looking for an alternative at a similar price point could look at H&M’s Cos Merino Wool Cardigan, available for £85. The item, which is available in the colours ‘Mole Mélange’ or ‘Light Pink’, comes in the sizes XS to L, although some have limited stock available, and is knitted from premium merino wool that’s ‘luxuriously soft’.

Or, for a cheaper option, Next is selling its Chunky Cable Knit Cardigan for £45 in the colours ecru and cherry red. It comes in sizes XS to 2XL in a regular fit, and with its chunky cable knit design, button-up fastening, and long sleeves, this is the perfect item to ‘snuggle up’ in, the brand says.
