A mixed Halloween week is ahead of us with Met Eireann forecasting rain over the coming days.
It will be mostly cloudy today with outbreaks of rain and drizzle continuing to spread southeastwards across the country. The rain will clear to bright spells and scattered showers across the northern half of the country. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees are forecast with a moderate to fresh and gusty westerly wind developing.
Cloud and patchy rain or drizzle will persist in the southwest tonight and there will be scattered showers in Ulster. Otherwise it will be dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh and gusty westerly winds are forecast, becoming strong at times in Ulster.
There will be a dry start for most tomorrow morning, but it will be cloudy with patchy rain or drizzle in the west and southwest and there’ll be a few showers in Ulster. The cloud and rain will spread eastwards across the rest of the country during the afternoon. Moderate to fresh westerly winds are forecast, easing for a time but increasing again across Connacht and Munster through the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees are expected.
Here is Met Eireann’s national outlook for the coming days:
