With his long beard and his distinctive brown habit, Brother Richard Hendrick cuts a distinctive figure. He is a priest-friar of the Irish Capuchin Franciscan Province and, during Covid lockdown, became a global sensation with the publication of his poem about the pandemic.

He has since written two bestselling books about spirituality (he signs them with beautiful handwriting).
