Elaine Hendrix did not compete on “Dancing with the Stars” week 7 because of an injury that sent her to the hospital.

“DWTS” host Alfonso Ribiero opened Tuesday’s Halloween themed show by revealing the “The Parent Trap” star suffered an injury and is currently in the hospital. He clarified that Hendrix is still part of the competition and will be judged on the Argentine tango she performed during Tuesday’s rehearsal before she had to be carried out on a stretcher.

During the show, fans got to see their rehearsal which is when a teary eyed Hendrix explained to her partner Alan Bersten that it felt like her “muscles twisted under my rib.”

From her hospital bed, Hendrix shared a video of herself explaining she injured her ribs during last week’s “Wicked” night and they “seized up” earlier that day.

She explains, “I couldn’t move,” while adding she will need a day or two of rest.

She continued in her video, “Halloween is my favorite, and I’m devastated. I was beyond excited to share what we had worked so hard on, although you’ll see a version of it. With your support, I’ll be back in the ballroom next week. I want nothing more.”

The ballroom isn’t the same without you, Elaine! Wishing you a speedy recovery!
