September the 10th, 2025 – Free internet surfing will now be a reality thanks to HT (Hrvatski Telekom/Croatian Telecom) for certain Croatia Airlines passengers.

Croatia Airlines has been attempting to up its game recently, and with it being impossible to compete with the likes of Ryanair in terms of prices, it had to think harder. What it has come up with by teaming up with HT, however, is definitely likely to be a lure for many passengers.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Croatian Telecom is now offering all Croatia Airlines passengers flying on the company’s new Airbus A22O aircraft a new permanent benefit – unlimited free internet for the entire duration of their flight. This is an innovative service that is available to all passengers, regardless of their phone’s telecom operator, with which HT is setting a new standard for digital connectivity in air traffic.

Free internet surfing for Croatia Airlines passengers includes the ability to view video content and is enabled through the international Magenta Moments benefits programme. Croatia has therefore become the first of nine countries with this programme to introduce such a service on board an aircraft.

The official presentation of the new benefit was held on a recent short flight from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, when stand-up comedian Ivan Šarić surprised passengers. Special codes for free internet surfing for Croatia Airlines passengers as well as gift packages from HT and its partners were also distributed. In addition, three selected passengers won the latest iPhone 16 devices through lottery tickets found on their seats.

In order to gain access to the free WiFi during the flight, all you need to do is download the Moj Telekom/My Telecom application, register and activate your free internet code in the “Magenta Moments” section immediately before boarding your flight. The code can be downloaded in exchange for 500 “hearts”, which users collect by logging in daily, playing games or using partner offers.

The new benefit will delight different profiles of passengers, from business users to those looking for fun and relaxation during their flight. Travelling is therefore becoming more productive and connected at all times.

“With free in-flight WiFi, flights will become more enjoyable and time passes faster, regardless of whether passengers want to use it for work or fun. Hrvatski Telekom is continuously enriching its programme with benefits that bring real value, and we’re pleased that through Magenta Moments, we’ve enabled surfing in the air to become an experience accessible to everyone,” said Krešimir Madunović, Member of the Management Board and Chief Operating Officer for Private Customers at Hrvatski Telekom.
