The royal twins, who also hold the title of Marquess of Baux and Countess of Carladès, were dressed in their school uniforms for the big day, sporting matching red polo tops emblazoned with the FANB logo. Prince Jacques, future monarch of Monaco, wore smart navy trousers with white sneakers from Brunello Cucinelli, while his twin sister wore a navy skirt with Mary Jane shoes. Their rucksacks were no doubt full of school supplies, and the siblings seemed more than ready to take on the year as they held hands for the royal photographer. Meanwhile, Princess Charlene was also sporting a perfect preppy ensemble, pairing a white shirt and denim trousers with Ralph Lauren wedges.

The Princely family have been out and about over the Summer, with Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella joining Princess Charlene and Prince Albert at the Princess Antoinette Park for the annual Monégasque picnic, held exclusively for citizens of the luxe principality and their spouses. Princess Gabriella, who has inherited her mother’s taste for luxury ensembles, was sporting a floral Dior Kids dress, with her flowing dress looking the spitting image of Princess Charlene’s attire. Jacques, too, took style inspiration from his father, with both royal men opting for navy blazers.

The House of Grimaldi was out in full force to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Prince Albert’s accession to the throne on 19 July. In a rare display of emotion, the Monégasque monarch was visibly moved as he thanked his family, whom he said have ‘done so many wonderful things in the last 20 years.’ At the end of his speech, he wrapped his son in a warm embrace and offered a kiss to his wife. Addressing the media at the time, Princess Charlene gave a rare insight into family life at the Princely Palace, revealing that ‘the children also help me stay young, it’s hard to keep them under control.’
