Magee of Donegal has expressed their delight at seeing one of their pieces on an RTÉ hit reality television show.

The Traitors Ireland officially premiered on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player late last month, with Siobhán McSweeney as host for the programme, which is causing chaos, suspicion and stylish skulduggery.

“We’re so delighted to see the magnificent Siobhan McSweeney wearing a cloak in Donegal tweed from our Magee Weaving mill on the RTE One The Traitors Ireland this week,” Magee of Donegal posted. “This statement piece was designed by the amazing designer Oran Aurelio and styled by Anne O’Shea.”

The Traitors Ireland shows loyalty is fragile, betrayal is currency, and suspicion is inevitable. A Letterkenny woman, Kelley Higgins, is among the 24 players involved.

Filmed at the banks of the Boyne in Slane Castle, this spine-tingling new adaptation of the global phenomenon brings suspicion, strategy and sabotage to Irish soil.

A group of strangers arrive at the castle. Their mission: to win €50,000 without getting murdered or banished. The twist? The Traitors walk amongst them, sowing doubt and deceit at every turn.
