A cyclist aged in his 20s is in serious condition following a collision involving two cars in Dublin’s Finglas on Monday.

Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of the collision on the Mellowes Road in Finglas at around 6.30am this morning.

The cyclist was taken to Beaumont Hospital and where he remains in a serious condition.

No other injuries were reported following the incident.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the Mellowes Road between 6.15am and 6.45am are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing, a spokesperson said.
