The owner of a busy, Cork-founded beauty Salon chain has unveiled she’s closing her business with a “heavy heart” and all future appointments “must be cancelled.”
In a post on social media and on her brand’s website today, businesswoman Zoe Kelly confirmed that All About Gorgeous is closing. The well-known chain was founded in 2009 under the name CityWax, and currently has three locations in Cork city in Blackrock, Ballincollig and Silversprings. On the All About Gorgeous website, online bookings are currently closed for all three locations. Many customers also received an email confirming the closure today.
Zoe said that she and her team are “absolutely devastated to be closing our doors.” She thanked all her customers for their loyal support of the business’s journey, writing that it has “truly been a privilege to serve you.” She added: “Dear Valued Clients, It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that All About Gorgeous is closing, and all future appointments must be cancelled… Needless to say, we are absolutely devastated to be closing our doors.

“Thank you so much for being part of our journey. Our team are at the heart of everything we do. I cannot thank each and every one of them enough. They made this wonderful place a home away from home and I will always be grateful to have worked alongside some of the most incredible women I could have ever hoped to associate with. Thank you all for everything xxx Zoe.”
Zoe founded the first CityWax location in Blackrock in 2009, and the chain rebranded to ‘All About Gorgeous” in 2021. Over the years, their team has built up a loyal group of customers through their range of services, which includes brows, threading, nails, tan, lashes, waxing, and more.
Many people have expressed sadness at the closure online, also thanking Zoe and her team for their hard work and saying they were “gutted” to get the news so close to Christmas
One person wrote: “No!! I am gutted to hear this! I’ve been with you for many years and have always been so well looked after by many wonderful therapists. I wish you all well with your future endeavours. Thank you for everything.”
Another penned: “Zoe, you’ve put so much of yourself into this business and cared so much for all the girls working there over the years. You are amazing and I’m excited for your future self
And a former employee added: “So sorry to hear this Zoe. I loved my time working for you back in the days of City Wax. Wishing you all the best for the future xx”
