Hellenic Post in spiral of constant restructuring

Hellenic Post (ELTA) recorded a 10-year downward trajectory in 2020. The restructuring plan was financed by the state with a total amount of 250 million euros, but the results of the intervention did not justify either the expectations or the money spent.

Five years later, Hellenic Post is “downsizing” again in order to survive.

ELTA currently employs approximately 2,900 permanent staff and another 1,500 through external partners. Permanent employees, who are affected by the branch shutdowns, will move to an open branch or assigned to a new post.
