With its future in the US possibly, almost, nearly, perhaps secured, TikTok has announced plans for a glitzy awards ceremony in Los Angeles this December.
Called simply the TikTok Awards, the ceremony will take place at the Hollywood Palladium in front of an audience of creators, although naturally it will also be streamed on TikTok – as well as on video service Tubi.
Alongside awards for creator, video and rising star of the year there are various genre categories, including ‘Breakthrough Artist’. That will be contested by Alex Warren, Katseye, Laufey, Ravyn Lenae and Sombr.
Meanwhile, Paris Hilton is up for ‘Muse of the Year’ (whatever that means), with voting for all the awards due to open on 18 November.
