Universal Pictures’ live action reboot of DreamWorks Animation’s How to Train Your Dragon will hit Peacock on October 10. That’s a 119-day window from the movie’s theatrical release on June 13.
The pic grossed $632.1M at the global box office, taking the entire How to Train Your Dragon franchise to $2.2 billion worldwide, including the $1.6B made from the animated trilogy during the 2010s.
The live-action movie stars Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gabriel Howell, Julian Dennison, Bronwyn James, Gerard Butler and more.
In addition, the original trilogy is arriving on Peacock on October 1 including How to Train Your Dragon (2010), How to Train Your Dragon 2 (2014) and How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (2019). The series counts four Oscar noms.
Along with the films, there’s also 90 minutes of bonus content for the live-action movie playing on Peacock including how Hiccup test drives Toothless, building the Isle of Berk, deleted scenes, gag reels, Thames performing the full Forbidden Friendship sequence with a puppeteer during its early stages and a BTS piece with the movie’s director Dean DeBlois.
