Tom Farrell said he was relieved to finally play for Ireland after the Munster centre made his long-awaited debut at the age of 32 during his side’s 41-10 win over Japan at the Aviva Stadium.

Farrell has had to stay patient for his opportunity, as he took the long road via the Leinster Academy, Bedford Blues and Connacht before he joined Munster last season.
