A Kenmare man has been named as the London Kerry Person of the Year 2025.
Bernard Looney is to receive the award in recognition of his entrepreneurial skills, deep commitment to philanthropy, and strong connections to Kerry.
The Kerry Person of the Year Award recognises a member of the Kerry community living in London who have distinguished themselves in business, arts or public life.
Mr Looney is the chair of US company Prometheus Hyperscale and was CEO of oil giant, BP, prior to stepping down in 2023.
He will be presented with the Dennis Reidy Memorial Trophy at the Kerry Association London’s annual gala dinner in November.
