The stars of “K-Pop Demon Hunters” are making history!

Huntrix, the girl group trio of EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, are still processing their 2026 Grammy nominations, including a nod for Song of the Year with their breakout hit “Golden.”

When asked how the singers felt about the honor, Audrey Nuna admitted the moment hadn’t fully sunk in.

“I got chills in my body,” she told our entertainment reporter Courtney Tezeno on Nov.7. “I’m known in this group to be emotionally the most constipated, and it takes me very long to process things, but I will say my body was healing things, although I didn’t cry just yet. But it’s surreal…very, very grateful and very humbled.”

Rei Ami recalled that the group learned of the nominations together over Zoom. “After the first one, we all screamed, and then I started crying, and then I immediately blacked out,” she said with a laugh. “That happened like three more times, lots of screaming, tears and processing.”

Meanwhile, EJAE was still in disbelief. “Yeah, like, not. I’m in shock. I can’t feel it right now, not fully, at least,” she admitted.

Their nominated track “Golden,” featured in the animated Netflix film “K-Pop Demon Hunters,” has become a global anthem.

EJAE explained why she thinks it resonates with audiences internationally, saying,“Regardless of whether it be Korean or K-pop or anything, the message is what everybody really related to. It brought light to a lot of people and children, you know, and adults — everyone. And I think that’s why it was very comforting for them.”

Rei added, “It’s just a hopeful messageat the core, it’s about hope and accepting yourself. Yes, it’s a K-pop song, but in my opinion, it is just a solid, brilliant pop song.”

The trio will perform next at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, another major milestone in what has been an exciting year for the group. “Everything is happening so fast,” said Audrey. “We’re just trying to be as present as we can.”

With Grammy night fast approaching on Sunday, Feb. 1, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the HUNTR/X stars are soaking it all in.
