A man has been killed after an early-morning collision in County Derry involving a car and a pedestrian.

The tragic incident took place shortly after 1:20am this morning, in the Dunhill Road area of Coleraine.

Sadly the pedestrian, a man aged in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that while the road has been reopened to the public, they continue to investigate all the circumstances of the collision.

“Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or to anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or any other footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 88 of 08/11/25,” Police said in a statement.
