Last night saw two of Letterkenny’s business giants honoured with two special awards at the 2025 Letterkenny Chamber Business Awards.

The Business Person of the Year award was shared between John, Clive, and Caroline Alcorn of Alcorn’s Garden Centre.

Following on from the legacy left by their parents in the business, Alcorn’s has expanded from humble beginnings to a true icon of Donegal business.

The work of the Alcorn siblings in not only maintaining the family’s business legacy, but also expanding upon it with the growth of the Alcorn’s site to also include a zoo in the form of Tropical World.

Meanwhile Eunan & Rachel McIntyre of the iconic Mac’s Deli were the recipients of the Chamber’s 2025 Hall of Fame Awards.

A fixture on Letterkenny’s High Road, the popular-as-ever deli has expanded to employing 30 people, through the deli’s cafe, as well as bakery and a catering buisness.

The commitment of Eunan and Rachel in building Mac’s Deli into the town icon it is today, is more than befitting of the Chamber’s Hall of Fame award.

Fourteen businesses and businesspeople were also award recipients last night, you can read the full list of winners by clicking here.
