Get ready to dive into a gripping true-crime story. Hulu just dropped the official trailer for “Murdaugh: Death in the Family,” a limited series that unpacks the shocking twists behind South Carolina’s infamous Murdaugh family saga.
The show, brought to life by showrunner Michael D. Fuller and co-creator Erin Lee Carr, takes viewers inside the glamorous yet dark world of Maggie and Alex Murdaugh.
The synopsis reads: Maggie and Alex enjoy a lavish life of privilege as members of one of South Carolina’s most powerful legal dynasties. But when their son Paul is involved in a deadly boat crash, the family is faced with a test unlike any they’ve ever encountered. As details come to light and new challenges emerge, the family’s connections to several mysterious deaths raise questions which threaten everything Maggie and Alex hold dear.
The series is inspired by the popular “Murdaugh Murders Podcast.”
It stars Jason Clarke as Alex, Patricia Arquette as Maggie, and Johnny Berchtold as Paul. The supporting cast includes Will Harrison as Buster Murdaugh, Brittany Snow as Mandy Matney, and J. Smith-Cameron as Marian Proctor.
The first three episodes of “Murdaugh: Death in the Family” premiere Oct. 15 on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
