A 32-year-old Wexford man cried tears of relief as a Circuit Court jury unanimously found him not guilty of defilement.
The defendant spent three days in the dock facing charges arising from a sexual encounter with a 15-year-old boy. He fully accepted that sex occurred in a hotel toilet but insisted throughout that he believed the teenager was old enough to consent.
