Bill Simmons’ popular sports-and-culture outlet The Ringer extends into a new venue this weekend as part of a new deal that will bring two popular video podcasts to FanDuel Sports Network.
Starting November 16, FanDuel Sports Network will add “The Ringer Sunday Pregame” at 11 a.m. as well as, during the week, “The Ringer Gambling Show,” at 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The former program is hosted by “Cousin Sal” Iacono, Joe House, John Jastremski, Raheem Palmer, and Anthony Dabbundo. The latter is hosted by Joe House, “Cousin Sal” Iacono, John Jastremski, Raheem Palmer, Anthony Dabbundo, and rotating Ringer co-hosts, and leads into the “Golic & Golic” talk show.
FanDuel Sports Network is operated by Main Street Sports Group.
Executives have been working to bolster the programming lineup of the company’s various regional sports networks. FanDuel Sports Network is a group of 15 regional sports outlets that were previously operated by Sinclair and Fox. FanDuel Sports Network recently unveiled a new “whip-around” studio show, “Countdown Live,” hosted by Stan Verrett. That program aims to give viewers a look at the run-up to key games taking place across the company’s entire portfolio of networks.
“We’re very excited to bring The Ringer’s unique point of view to FanDuel Sports Network,” said Geoff Chow, Spotify’s head of podcast studios and managing director of The Ringer,. in a statement. “We’re thrilled to bring these shows to this new audience.”
Both companies will explore future opportunities for expanded collaboration and cross-platform promotion as part of their relationship.
