Mari Selvaraj’s Bison, starring Dhruv Vikram in the lead role, continues its successful run in theatres even as the film has entered its third week. A while ago, the film’s director took to social media to announce that it has grossed more than 70 crore from theatres worldwide. According to data from Sacnilk, the film has minted a little over 53 crore from theatres in India alone. Reportedly, it is now the highest-grossing film in Mari Selvaraj’s career.
The film tells the based-on-real-life story of a youngster wanting to make his way into the Indian National Kabaddi Team, fighting various issues in his society, including corruption, system oppression, and violence. The film is based on Arjuna Award-winning Kabaddi player Manathi P Ganesan.
