Fans said goodbye to seven lovable acts during the fourth and final quarterfinals results show of America’s Got Talent Season 20. Did your favorites make the cut? In addition, Le Sserafim became the first K-pop girl group in history to perform on the AGT stage.

On Sept. 10, host Terry Crews announced the “Quarterfinals 4” results on NBC. One night earlier, 11 acts performed for America’s votes, with dance group Team Recycled receiving Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer, which allowed them to skip the semifinals and advance straight to the finals. “I was looking for an act that could possibly win this whole thing and nobody has been able to step it up,” Howie explained. “I thought to myself, can they do it? And the answer is … yes!”

The remaining 10 acts had their fingers crossed on Wednesday that they’d be one of the three who advanced to the semifinals, based on the voting results. They were: chorale group Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir, vocal group The BoykinZ, dance group The Funkateer Dancers, singer-guitarist Chuck Adams, singer and cellist Cole Swensen & Judy, vocal duo Crash Adams, laser act Gendai, bodybuilder Mike Munz, acrobatic duo TT Boys, and magician Zak Mirz.

What You Didn’t See On TV

The hour-long episode begins with Terry and Simon Cowell walking through the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and then showing an extended clip package of what went on last night behind the scenes. Sofia Vergara is “amazed” that the quarterfinals are going so fast this year. She’s “so glad” that Howie had to admit he was wrong about Zak Mirz and retract his red X on live television. Mel B then tells Howie he’s “nuts” for not pressing his Golden Buzzer for TT Boys, and that he can’t do a rewind because he doesn’t have any “special privileges.”

After Chuck Adams’ performance, Mel rushes the stage during a commercial break in order to praise him. Simon complains repeatedly about Gendai performing to “Singing in the Rain” without having any rain on the stage. Finally, Simon walks up on stage and gives kudos to the Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir, his former Golden Buzzer from the auditions.

Checking In With Team Recycled

When the clip package ends, Terry reveals that Howie is not here tonight because he had a death in the family. Our thoughts go out to Howie’s loved ones! Team Recycled appears to reflect on their Golden Buzzer moment from last night. They call it a “dream” that they’ll now be advancing to the finals, adding, “We are 45 dancers and we sacrificed a lot to be here, and we are so glad we got rewarded for that.”

Creating the Top 5

Terry announces he will bring out five pairs of acts and reveal how America voted in each case, to determine this week’s top five. Unfortunately, that means the bottom five acts will be sent home.

First pairing: Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir vs. The Funkateer Dancers. Congrats to both of the acts! It’s a huge shocker and Simon can’t even get a word out because the audience is cheering so loudly.

Second pairing: TT Boys vs. Crash Adams. It’s great news for the acrobatic duo! The social media singers are eliminated. Crash Adams’ goal was to simply “put smiles” on peoples’ faces, so in that respect, they succeeded.

Third pairing: Gendai vs. Mike Munz. Unfortunately, neither act is moving into the top five. Mike says he hopes viewers get interested in fitness after seeing him perform, and Gendai admits he had a “great experience” on the show.

Fourth pairing: Cole Swensen & Judy vs. Zak Mirz. The magician is now a semifinalist! Judy has “nothing but love for AGT” after her and her son’s ouster from the competition.

Fifth pairing: Chuck Adams vs. The BoykinZ. The solo singer advances to the next round! The girl group is feeling “gratefulness” as their stint on America’s Got Talent comes to an end. Simon hopes Chuck can gain some much-needed “confidence” from this news.

Le Sserafim

The South Korean girl group is taking the stage now. The five queens of K-pop perform a medley of their biggest hits, including “Antifragile.” When Terry asks if they have any advice for the acts waiting backstage, Le Sserafim reminds them to never forget about the “passion” that brought each of them here in the first place. Watch the exciting performance above.

Semifinalists Announced

Terry brings back Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir, TT Boys, Zak Mirz, Chuck Adams, and The Funkateer Dancers to announce which three of these top five acts will advance to next week’s semifinals.

The first semifinalist is TT Boys!

The second semifinalist is Zak Mirz!

The third semifinalist is Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir!

To recap, that means the seven eliminated acts this week are: Chuck Adams, The Funkateer Dancers, Crash Adams, Gendai, Mike Munz, Cole Swensen & Judy, and The BoykinZ.

Next Week

That’s a wrap for “Quarterfinals 4”! Next week is the semifinals, and since Mastermind had to withdraw due to personal reasons, that means the lineup only consists of 11 acts, instead of 12. They are: Light Wire, Sirca Marea, Jourdan Blue, Unreal Crew, Leo High School Choir, Bay Melnick Virgolino, Chris Turner, Jessica Sanchez, Zak Mirz, TT Boys, and Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir.
