Ireland face Australia this Saturday night.

Sam Prendergast is named to start as Ireland head coach Andy Farrell has announced his team for their upcoming clash against Australia in the Quilter Nations Series.

Caelan Doris is set to captain the Irish side in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this Saturday for their second match of the series. Kick off is at 8:30 Irish time and will be broadcast on RTÉ 2.

Returning from injury, Mack Hansen will start in the fullback position alongside Tommy O’Brien and James Lowe. The midfielders look equally as strong, with Robbie Henshaw and Stuart McCloskey named to start. Prendergast and Jamison Gibson Park get the nod for the half-back line.

Paddy McCarthy will play his first test start in green, joining Dan Sheehan and Tadhg Furlong in the front row while James Ryan, Tadhg Beirne, Ryan Baird, and Jack Conan complete the starting lineup.

Farrell’s side also includes a strong set of replacements, including Craig Casey, Andrew Porter and Jack Crowley.
