Alma Karanauskienė, Skibbereen, Co.Cork.
With immeasurable pain and endless sorrow, we announce sadly that Alma left us. Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, relative and friend. In our hearts we feel as if we have lost a part of ourselves.
On November 13th, 2025 peacefully in the presence of Husband Jaunius Karanauskas, Mother Birutė Mazienė, Father Rimas Mazys, Sister Rimantė Mazytė, Mother-in-law Nijolė Karanauskienė.
Sadly missed by her loving children Leo Karanauskas, Danas Karanauskas, Sofia Karanauskaite, also Alma’s Brother Evaldas Mozūraitis and family, Brother-in-law Marius Karanauskas and family, Grandmother Barbora Pocienė.
The whole family, relatives and friends are in deep shock. Her light was special. She knew how to brighten even the darkest day and her smile, gentleness and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She was a person who shared her love quietly but strongly, so that there was enough for everyone around her. Today, it seems that our brightest day has faded and the darkest night has come. But when we look up at the sky, we will see the stars and one of them will shine the brightest. It is you dear Alma. You watch over us from above, light our way and remind us that love never dies.
May our darling Alma rest in peace
We invite everyone who knew, loved or wish to quietly say goodbye to Alma to attend the Requiem Mass which will take place at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Skibbereen on Saturday 15th November at 12 noon. The family will be in attendance from 11am.
May this day be not only one of sadness, but also of gratitude for her light, for her gentleness, for her love, which will never fade. She will remain with us like a star that shines even on the darkest night.
