Businessman Denis O’Brien, who was defrauded out of around €135,000 by DJ Carey, has said he has “no malice towards him at all” and “hopes he gets the help he needs”.
Five-time All-Ireland-winning hurler Carey was jailed last week for five-and-a-half years after he pleaded guilty to lying about a cancer diagnosis in order to make a financial gain.
